I just noticed your question about getting this movie on DVD.. you can find a website called Joe's Classic Movies check it out it'd interesting and I just purchased this movie on DVD.

I taped mine off the air in 1985 when it was shown on AMC back when they showed mostly old films. The quality was good, it's uncut and commercial free and I was satisfied with that. I'm not a widescreen fan at all and this one was a full screen.
