entertaining western.....althoug h

the song about a half an hour into the film sung by Angela Landsbury is about the worst song I have ever heard in a movie....I love randolph scott westerns and I enjoy Angela on screen...but really..that was about the worst song I have ever heard......all in all this movie is pretty over the top sometimes....Scott,at the end of his career looks as if he is very nonchalant about his performance....you could tell it was near the end of his career and he looked as though he was a haveing a darn good time making money and riding horses...

This movie is all Randolph....and I like it...he is sexy......

As far as Landsbury playing the mother of grown children in a only a few short years after this picture...she makes total sense as the love interest because Scott's character is obviously older...making this movie more realistic in the love affair department.

Typical slice of movie life in the 1950's....

Along with the musical Braille version of "Murder, She Sucked".

Nothing is more beautiful than nothing.

that song was awful but the movie was OK

This film was shown on Sunday March 7th on Channel 5 in the UK.

Angela Lansbury was 30 when it was filmed so can convince as a showgirl, though "mother says I mustn't" is possibly the worst song in movies. Although weak entertainment was probably what the frontier saw. Any woman singer, any song was a relief after a hard day in the silver mines.
Scott was 57, old enough to be her father.

She was cute as a button but the age difference was a tad creepy. He was a younger Hugh Hefner with the ladies...

This was Scott's last Western before Boetticher came onto the scene. They've certainly benefited in comparison with dire outings like this.

The song isn't anything special, but about what you would expect from that era. Seemed appropriate enough for me. Besides, who cares about the song when Angela is showing off those pretty legs of hers? 😀

No blah, blah, blah!

Kind of boring western to me. Lansbury had some nice legs though.
