Where is the DVD???

So AOL-TW aka: Warner Bros., where is the DVD for this remarkable classic epic?
It is one of my favorite guilty pleasures, Joan Collins at her youthful prime, sensual, sexy, alluring, and a bitchy vixen temptress at that!
Jack Hawkins is excellent as Pharaoh Khufu - he makes us believe he IS the king who built the Great Pyramid. Thank you, Howard Hawks!
The wide-screen CinemaScope panorama is awe-inspiring, in Warner Color, and this is one of the early 4-track magnetic Stereo soundtracks. And the magnificent music score by Dimitri Tiomkin deserves its own CD soundtrack release!
WB, where is the DVD??? Come on, you gave us HELEN OF TROY (1956). Please!

You can find it on Amazon. But it is just the standard edition. WB hasn't issued a widescreen restoration as of yet.

Pharaoh,Pharaoh,Pharaoh,Pharaoh

A Million Dollar Movie classic. That was the show that broadcast the same movie for a week. That is how I got hooked. I'm still am in love with Joan Collins today.

Me too. Only New Yorkers really got to know these things, especially on Million Dollar Movie: channel 9, 16 times in one week! I guess it sounds bizarre today but was great at the time. Even though they used to cut out the credits back then and only showed edited versions (scenes were always cut to make it fit into a two-hour time slot, with commercials). And of course only pan & scan. (If you're from the NY area you may recall that channel 2 later got this film and ran it intact, except they cut the Joan Collins whipping scene, which I guess they found too provocative. Other people on this board seem to have a hang-up about it as well.)

Warner has also announced a number of great catalog classics for release on 6/26, including a Cult Camp Classics: Volume 1 - Sci Fi Thrillers (Attack of the 50 Ft. Woman (1958), Giant Behemoth and Queen of Outer Space), Cult Camp Classics: Volume 2 - Women in Peril (The Big Cube, Caged and Trog), Cult Camp Classics: Volume 3 - Terrorized Travelers (Hot Rods to Hell, Skyjacked and Zero Hour) and Cult Camp Classics: Volume 4 - Historical Epics (Colossus of Rhodes, The Prodigal and Land of the Pharoahs). Each of the sets carries an SRP of $29.98, and the films will be available separately for $14.97 each.

Wonderful! Splendid news about a splendiforous film.

And now chant with me: "Pharaoh-Hamar-Pharaoh-Hamar-Pharaoh-Hamar!"

"On your faces before the living god, O Mighty Khufu, Lord of all Men!"

"Kneel? I will never kneel!" - Defiant, Nellifer sneered her vixen face at
the King of all Egypt.

"You will kneel - or die!" replied His Majesty, the Mighty One.

Three cheers for Jack Hawkins, Joan Collins, and Alexis Minotis!

Let's celebrate the building of Akhut-Khufu (the Great Pyramid) in wide-screen wraparound CinemaScope, WarnerColor, and Stereo! The 4th Dynasty Old Kingdom age
is brought to the screen in magnificent cinematography.
