Bella Notte or Its Amore??

For some strange reason, I have always associated the song Its Amore, with this movie and the spaghetti dinner scene. You know, "When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie".....

Dont know why and I was surprised when I rewatched it with my 4 year old daughter who absolutely loved it.

Did they do another version of that famous spaghetti dinner scene?

The song 'It's Amore' is heard in the background during Hitchcock's 'Rear Window' (1954). But as far as I know the song was never used in any version of 'The Lady and the Tramp.' I think 'It's Amore' was a popular Dean Martin song in the early 1950s.

It's very common to remember things wrong, and confuse one memory with another. As far as I can see, there is no official version of Lady and the Tramp with "That's Amore" (though I just did a quick-ish Google search). I think the following things are possible.

1. You first heard/noticed That's Amore and watched Lady and the Tramp at around the same time time, so you remember them together. This is especially possible if you were young at the time.

2. You accociated That's Amore with Lady and the Tramp back then, for whatever reason, and forgot that it was your own thought as you grew up, and assumed it was the real song.

3. You saw a fanmade video with That's Amore as the song.

4. You saw an official video with That's Amore as the song, such as a trailer or one of those music videos that Disney brought out back in the day.

I remember it as That’s Amore too. I was shocked when watching it with my son tonight. It was my fav movie as a kid. Right before the scene started, I leaned over to him and stared singing, “when the…Moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie…” I was so confused when Belle Notte was the song. It even had close ups of the moon, which I remember coinciding with the song. Mandela Effect.

They both do seem similar even when Tony sings the song while Lady and the Tramp are eating spaghetti and meatballs while Dean Martin sings about pizza pie, and both are foods from Italy. Why wouldn't your 4 year daughter love the movie Lady and the Tramp, the movie is for kids. In less are you expecting her to be more into Frozen then an old time Disney movie like Lady and the Tramp?

That's Amore is from the Martin & Lewis comedy The Caddy. It was nominated for an Oscar for Best Song.

But throughout it all, my motto was "Dignity! Always dignity!".
