Yes, I have. I loved those two duel scenes and the prison escape scene.

I have seen this movie, actually I have it on Video and watch it regularly, and find it a lovely period movie based on a true incident. Edmund Purdom & Ann Blyth are perfectly matched yet again in this movie. What a pity they did not make more movies together, they had such a lovely chemistry between them on screen. As stated in one of the other comments, the dual scenes were wonderful, and what amazed me was the last, David Niven threw off his cape, but Edmund Purdon fought the complete dual with his on. Keep watching this movie it is great.

Perfect coffee and cake movie.
I dont like coffee and cake though.
What role did roger more play?
I'm drunk.

reply

Roger Moore plays the hero's sidekick. Interesting to see him so young! No match, however, for Niven's villain role.

I thought David Niven made a great villain. Nice mid-budget / mid-ambitious costume epic with a kinda complicated story told swift & fun, great costumes & cool sidenotes (period card games & Issac Newton in a funny wig). Director, started in 1907, did the Greer Garson "Pride & Prejudce", scriptwriter, 1st script, wrote "20 Million Miles to Earth" (!)

Watching it now. Nice little period piece popular in the fifties with a great cast. So many younger versions of later big time actors too. TCM tends to show them in the mornings and I can relax and enjoy them (helps to be retired). Enjoyable fare not to be over analyzed.
