When Davey jumps out of the window, I couldn't help but notice the similarity to when Alex of A Clockwork Orange does the same.
The mannequins at the end also recalled the milk plus girls in A Clockwork Orange.
Along with the dream sequence negative similarity with the Jupiter sequence in 2001, there are many fascinating aspects of this movie.
dont forget the opening shot of eyes wide shut with kidman..when kubrick films the female in killers kiss shes in front of a mirror and the shot just reminds me a whole lot like the opening shot to eyes wide shut when kidman is undressing infront of the mirror....im sure if the 50's it was normal to have nude, we woulve saw that girl nude in killers kiss haha
There's a ton of late kubricks work in his early work...even in his documentaries i can see similiar head shots and editing style, just like the edit close up shots of the devil masks in eyes wide shut, its just like The Seafears near the end...
tons more Ive noticed in his early work that mirror his last 6 masterpieces...just cant think of em....i had a post on here naming them ALL but it got deleted!
The mannequin factory showdown reminded me of both Clockwork Orange and Spartacus.
