BURT LANCASTER....as always!

The screen presence of Lancaster always fascinates me. I know there have been cartoons and caricatures of the great man aplenty, AND with good reason.

His long, unruly, unkempt hair, combined with his masculine jaw, teeth and eyes make him very attractive. I should add that I am heterosexual to the hilt, but can appreciate the looks, charisma, attractiveness of another man.

In this, as always, Lancaster with his physique and athleticism exudes virility and strength.

It seems somewhat incongruous when he is softly and gently singing around the piano. Perhaps that is part of his charm, ie the dichotomy of his character?

The other "as always" is the poorness of the movie overall. Lancaster made some duds (mainly the Westerns),and his star quality often outshines the quality of the movie.

I've written elsewhere about how good the whip/fight scene was. Both Burt and Walter were great in this scene.

Burt really rocks, and he should be right up there in the pantheon of great leading men.
