Was that Neville Brand?

In the scene right after the first ship gets grabbed, about four survivors are being interviewed by a doctor. The first sailor says he saw a giant monster, and they ship off to a psychiatrist. The second sailor, with a beard, denies he saw a monster. I swear it was Neville Brand- but he's not listed in the credits.

So, to sum it up in legal terminology: Get lost, you bum.

Most likely it is not. If this has been one of Neville Brand's first features perhaps, but Brand had already starred in movies with major stars - ONLY THE VALIENT with Gregory Peck and STALAG 17 with William Holden among others, and all with his name in the credits. Neville would have most likely been credited if he was in this movie.

I think one of the extras at the HQ in the scene where they are setting off the mines looks like a very young Jack Warden, no credit though. I don't believe the character even has a line.

Haven't they confirmed this?

I just watched the movie. It was not Neville Brand. It didn't even look like him. Besides, Brand was already doing lead roles in movies by this time (RETURN FROM THE SEA, RIOT IN CELL BLOCK 11). There would be no reason for him to do a bit part.
