DVD now available directly from Warner's webpage!

Many thanks for the information! I ordered the DVD release and can let you know a little more about it. The film is presented in the original widescreen version, without subtitles or closed captioning. The film transfer was made from the best existing print, but is unrestored and was not digitally re-mastered. The transfer is excellent.

As a sidenote, the DVD cover insert finally gives credit to Eileen Farrell for Eleanor Parker's vocals.
