Should've been titled With a Song in My Heart at the Opera
Boy the suits at MGM were obviously still kicking themselves over turning down the Jane Froman story 3 years later.
How shamelessly they lifted scenes with nearly no changes from Froman's story. That game enthusiastic entertaining of the troops & gung ho to do more sappiness & the 1st attempt at a comeback while staged in a sitting position, almost falling just before the curtain opens as her husband tells someone (in the case her brother) "Leave her alone, she's alright"
