Edward G. Robinson was Outstanding

The main reason I watched this film was EGR and I wasn't disappointed. He was simply outstanding in a variety of role playing. At first he played an aggressive District Attorney. Next he played a drunken lush. Still later he played a shaky lawyer representing mostly shady characters. He held the movie together.

Edward G. Robinson was outstanding in everything he was in. He was one of the greatest actors in any era. He could be a menacing gangster or a gentle father and family man. If you've never seen "Our Vines Have Tender Grapes," you should make an effort to see it. A wonderful performance! If a movie had a bad script, his sincere acting ability certainly rose above it.

He was just another pretty face.
