I watched this film for the first time tonight (good movie), and noticed the scene where Robert Ryan fills Cameron Mitchell full of lead while he's in a Japanese bathtub appeared projected on the wall in the apartment of the skeevy eye surgeon Tom Cruise visits in Steven Spielberg's Minority Report.
shareI believe Sam Fuller and Steven Spielberg were friends (makes sense, since Fuller was in Spielberg's film '1941') so I'm sure it's some kind of an homage.
shareYeah, whenever I watch Minority Report and see that House of Bamboo clip, I always think back to Fuller and Spielberg making 1941 together. Great stuff.

The only part of this movie I've ever seen is the scene in "Minority Report", and I always assumed it was a woman being killed. Mitchell's voice seems very high pitched, but he's very realistic in his agony at being murdered.
