Where did I view the info that Brando actually sang 'My Time of Day'?

On some documentary or interstitial programming (probably on TCM or the old AMC, etc.), I could swear I heard one of the people say that Brando actually sang and recorded "My Time of Day" (and that he sang it OK), but that the studio (Goldwyn, or some suit, or Mankiewicz, etc.) decided movie-going audiences were too dumb for the sophisticated, bluesy, chromatic song, and cut it. And they go on to point out that the music to the song is heard in the film's underscore.

I just now watched the two 2006 docos, Guys and Dolls: The Goldwyn Touch, and Guys and Dolls: From Stage to Screen, but it's not in them.

What could it have been? Anybody know? I really don't know if the documentary was even totally about Guys and Dolls -- that could have been just part of it.

I don't even know how long ago this was. It seems like it was maybe between 1992 and 2007.

I have not heard it myself, but it would not surprise me. A lot musicals pre-recorded all the songs and then decided which one to use afterwards.

In the show I viewed, it said that they actually even filmed Brando singing it (or rather lipsynching his own recording of it, obviously). And that the decision to remove it was quite late in the game.

Later on in the movie you can hear Sarah referring to it; she talks several times about how now she understands why he loves the dark/night time, even though these lines make no sense after the song has been cut.
