What's With Those Numbers On the Walls?

So, in the scene where Sky Masterson and Sister Sarah Brown are in Havana, and she sings “If I Were a Bell” -- what are all those numbers doing on the walls? They’re too random to be street addresses or apartment numbers or anything like that.

All the universe . . . or nothingness. Which shall it be, Passworthy? Which shall it be?

It's a "joke". They actually look like Hymn Numbers, as posted on the hymn board in a church in the time when the movie was set - But they are posted in the Square, or street.
