Would a remake sell?

I love this movie, but it seems even more dated than the original Godzilla. My question is, with the recent resurgance of popularity of Kaiju flicks in Japan, would a remake of this movie work - perhaps with a bigger role for Anguiras, who is considered by most Toho fans to be among the top five most popular monsters.

A sub-question: Would an Anguirus movie work, without Godzilla? I think it's time they gave Angie his own movie. I'd pay good money to watch him duke it out with humans, aliens or other monsters. Who's with me?

only iff anguirias was fighting nobody else and attack japaneese or tokyo

Finally TOHO have pitted Mothra against Mechagodzilla, yes 3 years ago, and no I havn't seen it yet, but TOHO could have some real fun getting Anguirus and Rodan together, fighting new or old monsters, no?...

As far as which should/could get remade, I would have to say maybe the original Ghidora, or perhaps get Godzilla and King Kong to duke it out again in 2008?

I would like someone to do something like slow down the fight scenes some. I have no idea why they sped them up, but it would be cool to see them move a little slower so that they have a more gargantuan feel to them.

I live the Godzilla movies and saw alot of the Kaiju films as a kid but to me the big G and Angilas looked like rejected muppet stand in's in this one :P and i agree they should have slowd some of the fights down.

You are forgetting Anguirus jamming Gigan's saw, but I agree.
