Egyptian Ballet Scene


Anyone else find Leslie's closed door ballet sequence, ending with her collapsed on the stairs in a poignant broken posture, one of the most touching scenes ever put on film?

It hit me very dearly -- perhaps I am in the Prince's 'shortcoming' class....

It was the only scene I remembered from this entire film after seeing it once in 1972.

Yes, I was also struck by the upside down collapse on the stairs. Brief, eloquent and final. Very powerful moment.
