MAJOR SPOILER ; any ideas?

There are two murders but the movie ends with only one murderer caught!

Tony the rich promoter kills the girl upstairs.

Somehow Rorke, who according to the commentary is a reporter but says he is paid by the carnivals to keep an eye on the performers(?), knows Tony is the murderer and blackmails him.

But Sid James, who was being blackmailed by the dead girl for their previous relationship, is the main suspect. Rorke also attempts to blackmail newlywed Sid James. Since Sid's already a suspect, I don't know how. But Sid brings a gun along, and in an unseen confrontation, Sid is killed by Rorke which he tells Tony(!). That ends the blackmailing of Tony. As Tony leaves Rorke's flat, the police pull up and go inside, not noticing Tony down the street. That's the last you hear of Rorke except for one comment near the end, 'did the police get anything out of him'.

Finally Tony is killed in a DUMB attempt on Sapolio's life. THE END.

So if Rorke keeps his mouth shut, he's home free. I'm surprised that the commentator on the DVD did not point this out. He did say there must have been some heavy editing as the film comes in at 59 minutes. Honor Blackman and Sid James hardly have any screen time. I think there was more to the Rorke situation but who knows.

The commentator does point out numerous times that the entertainment value of walking past a fat guy in a glass booth who is not eating is pretty sketchy which I was also wondering about as I watched. It's not a bad film to kill an hour with. There's lots of familiar faces. Besides, anything with Honor Blackman in it is worth watching!
