Does IMDb have the right Anna Ferguson, here?

The childhood parts of Geordie and Jean were played by Paul Young and Anna Ferguson. Bio info on these actors says that Young was born in 1944, making him 11 at the time the movie was released, and that Ferguson was born in 1938, making her 17 at the time the movie was released. Ferguson is also Canadian and 5'6", per IMDb. Moreover, the photo of Ferguson in her IMDb bio hardly resembles that of the girl in the film. It seems to me it would take some real trick photography to show a 5'6" girl at 17 as young as an 11-year-old boy and only a half-inch taller than a "wee boy." I think IMDb has the wrong Anna Ferguson linked to this movie.

I agree completely. I've seen this error before on IMDb, definitely the wrong person matched with the credits. Maybe the system automatically pulls up actors listed in the credits without an actual person doing it. It's obvious this is not the same Anna Ferguson. Maybe someone on IMDb staff will see this and change it. If you look at the career of this Anna she didn't even start in show business until much later.

I think the odds are good that you are right that they have wrong Anna Furgson. The girl in the movie certainly didn't look remotely 17.

However, young Jean was more than half an inch taller than young Geordie, more like half a head taller. The height difference was highlighted at the eagle's nest when she could easily get a good look in at the eaglets, while Geordie couldn't see into the nest at all (even after trying to do a pull up on the ledge to get higher).

No, its the right Anna ferguson, the same one thats in anne of green gables etc.
