I own a store in Palm Springs (Sublime) and have customers asking for this all the time. Since her box set, and 'Best of Everything' have been huge for me, WHY isn't this avialable!!!??

The DVD is for sale on Amazon. So is Queen Bee, the same year.

I love this movie too. I bought a copy off of eBay. I didn't ask the seller any questions though. I assumed it was a factory copy but turned out to be a vhs copy from television. I would rate the quality of the copy about six or seven out of ten. I wish Universal would release it so I could have a better copy.

This is such an awesome movie. I bought a VHS off of Ebay just last week and while it isn't the best quality, it's better than nothing. It used to be shown on TV a lot but now it's not. I WANT A DVD!

I know what the hell!I would buy the DVD in a heartbeat. My VHS copy I made from a movie rental over 15 years is on its last leg with a few scenes accidently recorded over.

I would kill, yes dammit, kill, to have this movie on DVD. If it were released as a double bill with Queen Bee all would be right with the world.

I also taped this movie years ago and still watch it. I loved all of Crawford's movies from the late 40s through the early 50s. The Damned Don't Cry, Humoresque, etc. The best of Joan!!!!!

reply

You betcha! I can't figure, for the life of me, why these haven't been released on DVD. I'll break a speed record, buying them if they are ever released.

reply

Funny, watching Joan's movies on TV while babysitting in the 1960's, her post MGM and post Warner's movies were always on. They were pretty interesting films.

Female on the Beach, The Story of Esther Costello, and Autumn Leaves would make a great box set. None of these are on DVD yet.
