If there is a possible stage musical adaptation of 'The Far Horizons'...

...who would compose the music and lyrics? I might say Alan Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg, the pair behind Les Misérables--soon to be a Universal Picture, come December 14th--and Miss Saigon. Hope the 'Lewis and Clark of the European musicals' would stay true to the story of the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Yes, I know there were several musicals and operas that were based on the true story of the Lewis and Clark Expedition.
