Just watched this movie, and really enjoyed it. However, I found it quite a coincidence that Miroslava, the lady who played Lavinia, had committed suicide shortly before this movie's release. So, it would seem that Mr. De la Cruz's ways had not changed.

yes,

She was very beautiful, elegant and talented. so tragic she went too soon. it's amazing how we see her first scene through fire, as if he knew somehow about her soon-to-be future/end.
