Question
Several times in the film, the lead was referred to as the " Stephanos" or something to that effect. It's never explained in the subtitles or commentary what that nickname means in English. Anyone know?

shareTony's full name was "Tony le Stephanois" so when they were referring to "le Stephanois" that was is actual last name ( the "le" was incorrectly translated as "the" in the subtitles resulting in him being referred to as "the Stephanois").
Hope that clears it up
"Stephanois"" in french actually means "man from Saint Etienne". Therefore "Tony le Stephanois" means "Tony, the man from Saint Etienne". It's funny to note that in the italian version the nickname has been translated as "Tony il laureato", i.e. "Tony the graduate"!
