So which is it?

The lead review of this movie describes it as "the fictitious story of a real" Lina Cavalieri. Well, Cavalieri was a real superstar of early movies whose Italian hits were released across America by Paramount, then the unchallenged all-powerful studio. But is the story depicted on screen somewhat fictionalised or totally bogus? I would like to know before bothering to chase it down.
