Don' forget that the film is set much earlier than the 50's, around the early 1900's.
shareI'm not a regular to Indian film pages (I checked this out as I just watched the movie), but see a similar trend on classic Western films: trolls and semi-trolls who enjoy trashing popular classics, without giving any real (and legitimate) criticism.

The best scene I would say was the exchanged look between the working girl and the woman carried in a wagon across the muddy road.
