I think what he really said was something about "get even with a cop." Your naughty, naughty mind must have distorted everything after "get".

First he plays with Ralphie's DC-7 model airplane (not shown but the model is missing and Ralphie's ticked) and then his toy machine gun. His screws were very loose.
