James BondlikeTheme Song

The opening theme song of this film sounds just like those crafted for James Bond movies. I'm not comparing it in quality to those introducing the Bond films, but it really does have the same type of sound, cadence, and sultry female vocal property.

I felt the need to update this entry shortly after I wrote it. The song was composed by Paul Dunlap, a man with a pretty extensive list of B movie and TV credits. This site attributes one quote to him and this is the place for it:

"I can only hope that I will be remembered for my piano concerto, or my choral piece, "Celebration", and not the inferior movies I was forced to be associated with."

Not that I think this was an "inferior" movie for what it was. Just thought this was an interesting tidbit.

Desert Sands was Tommy Sands grand uncle though he liked to be called Cletus.

Dunlap cashed the checks -no one forced him to take the work. And if he wanted to be remembered for his piano concerto where is it? He could at least have paid for a two piano version to be recorded and put it out on his own label.I cerainly would be interested in hearing what he considered far better work.
