This was BORING!

Taped this and tried to watch it. Booorring! Fast-forwarded through it until I reached the end. Wouldn't even try to watch it again.

I wouldn't exactly call it boring, but... it was a pretty simplistic story wrapped up in a lot of fluff - all style and little substance. I really liked the black and white imagery, and I did get a kick out of hearing good ol' Ed McMahon doing the narration: the lines they gave him were so hammy I just about ordered a side of scrambled eggs and toast to go with it.

If you read my other posting, I didn't believe it was Ed McMahon at all. It doesn't sound like him (I knew his voice from the Johnny Carson show). Someone said it WAS him, but he sure sounded different. Too bad he couldn't have done some different voices on Carson in some of the skits. He could've been so much more than a 2nd banana.

Agreed. It was hard to stay awake during this one.

Yeah....
This film wasn't exactly sterling. If I taught a film making class, I would use this film as an example of lighting. The lighting effects really pushed this film into a higher bracket...
But I don't believe I'd ever watch this film again...

This film was not boring. The jazz club bit was filler, yeah, but that's it's only real fault.

Life is like a box of chocolates. A cheap, thoughtless, perfunctory gift that nobody ever asks for.

reply

Boring, yes, but it could be fun to make a game of adding dialogue at a party

reply

Adding dialog! That's good idea. Wonder if it was ever done on MST?

reply

Really? I actually thought it was very exciting.

I think it was interesting
