I saw this movie in 1955 when I was nine

I saw this movie in 1955 when I was nine, and had nightmares about it for six weeks. There was just something about the flick, as compared to other flicks of the same genre at the time, which struck my imagination as potentially a real-life possibility.

Back in the mid seventies, a local TV station in the Baltimore area aired this film on their Saturday afternoon horror program. I was delighted to see it again, and enthusiastically shared the experience with my wife. Of course, she couldn't see what was so special about it, but, then again, we were in our late twenties at the time.

I look forward to it's release on DVD so that I can purchase it for my posterity.
