Where was the Graveyard of Ships?

I know that this movie was filmed along the California coast, but does anyone know where the location used as "the Graveyard of Ships" was. Those were certainly real derelict ships that looked like they had been there for years.

Probably the Sacramento Delta rather than the coast. (I don't recall seeing any waves.) Plenty of wrecks there, not to mention several dozen mothballed WWII-era naval vessels, including the USS Iowa. It's also inland so you don't have to worry about the paddle boat getting tossed about and becoming a wreck itself, which would have been a problem on the Pacific coast.

Interestingly, the "graveyard of ships" was only two or three ships that were filmed from multiple angles apparently to give the illusion of more ships.

This film was shot at various Delta locations but the main encampment was at what today is called Tower Park Marina Resort at the intersection of Potato Slough and State Route 12. The Delta is large 30 miles east west by 50 miles north south with over 1,000 miles of navigable waterways.
