No win for the Iceman

Could you imagine yourself as Jerry (the Iceman) Barker?
I've seen this wonderfully twisted film many times and put myself in his shoes. It was obvious that he was in a no-win situation.....Once he's in the joint the bad guys want that 200 grand and decide that Barker is a "golden goose"...soooo, they decide (after poor Dipsy does the boiled lobster bit)to include him in their bustout. It was obvious that Barker would NOT be an equal partner once the ransom money was recovered.
Meanwhile the FBI have ascertained that Barker had indeed kidnapped Danny and were planning on pulling him out of the joint to prosecute him for kidnapping - a capitol offense.
It drives me nuts thinking about it........Ol' Jer' just can't win.

Crime doesn't pay. Which what I think the moral of the story is.
