did they find the kid's body?

Maybe I turned away and missed it, but the kid fell off the tower, looked to be dead, and the Iceman picks him up and throws him over a cliff. Did they ever find his body?

Interesting film. I am a big Ralph Meeker fan and sorry he died fairly young. I saw Meeker throw the kid down the mountain. Pretty rough stuff !!! I am watching this film right now and if I hear about the kid, I'll post.

At the end, the narrator said that the Iceman took his secret to the gas chamber. He never admitted what happened or what he did to Danny's body. I guess the scene where they show him throwing the kid down a cliff of rocks was just to give the film watchers some kind of closure.

Either way, pretty brutal.

>>Oh, well that's different. Nevermind!<<

No, they did not find the body. I have seen this movie twice and I swear, it's really good, and really different. I like the people in it who don't seem to be REAL actors, for instance. (like Law & Order, haha) And it's a good story, too. Action from beginning to end! You almost feel like you're at that camp, in those hills, a part of it all.

yeah, the movie is EXCELLENT. And look at the era it was created in: it's scarier and colder than a lot of movies today (and they did it with zero gore.)

Not to be a nitpicker, but if they were looking for the money, and they had found the ranger station where the kid was holed up, the Iceman didn't dump him very far away.

I find it hard to believe they never found the kid's body if it was dumped that close to the last place they knew the boy was.

reply

Within a few days the vultures would have begun congregating around the kid's body. The rangers should have anticipated that and responded when they saw it.

Putting a spoiler in the title of a message thread is bad form.

reply

considering the Storyline on imdb says the boy was thrown off the cliff, makes your whining about spoilers pretty unnecessary

reply

Not as I see it. If one chooses to read a plot summary one should expect to learn about the plot. There is nothing wrong with suggesting people do not blare out important parts of the plot in message board headings -- two different things.

Notice the note by HofferPM? Not so hard to be considerate.

You came on to a movie's board that in 2011 had been out for 56 years.
