Awful movie

"The Lost Patrol" or "Sahara" this ain't. Director Brahm concentrates on the machinations of the story without much flavor or romanticism. It starts out with Richard Conte and some other guy stealing a lorry then goes downhill from there. Victor McLaglen running a Bengazi saloon, Richard Carlson a local scottish flatfoot, McLaglen's daughter showing up, oh boy. McLaglen and Conte should have just gotten a hold of an army surplus tank. I thought the waterhole with assorted palm trees a few dozen yards away from the ruins of the mosque was interesting though.
