VERY Overrated

Agreed. Completely predictable story line. And I'd like to know what the director had against close-ups. The entire film is nothing but wide and medium-wide shots. How could an intelligent director squander an actor like Spencer Tracy this way?

I enjoyed it very much, but I was led to believe it was an hour and twenty minutes of nonstop buttkicking. What I got was a slow burn of a modern Western with only occasional buttkicking.

I'll have to watch it a second time - hopefully I enjoy it more now that I know what I'm in for. Great ensemble cast. 7/10

i couldn't tell you what i watched and i saw it just 5 minutes ago, there were some people talking and at the end there is a shootout

I never heard it was the best ever so I'm lightly enjoying it, I just wish the score wasn't so loud and melodramatic, it takes away from a lot by adding too much music where it doesn't fit. An overacting soundtrack can rob the actors of their performance.

Just a wee bit overrated. Still a fine film with fine performances. The Coens should consider a remake with De Niro.

Saw it today. I disliked it, I thought it was boring. But not terrible or overrated like you said.
