SPOILER Why does Brennan's character look disgusted in the last scene

At the very end of the movie, Doc looks at the crowd around Jack and shakes his head in disgust and walks away. Why? Maybe I missed something in the plot.

"We're going to need a bigger boat..."

SPOILER WARNING

rs it may have been that the people came to themselves in time to help Fred McMurray but he may have been disgusted because they took so long to come to themselves.
Of course another possibility is that it could have been that he liked to have his drinks at the saloon in the late afternoons but one of the outlaws was wounded and he may have been upset that he had to go to treat him and not enjoy the happy reunion which no doubt included drinks.

He's an old curmudgeon who don't like happy endings or else he was still ticked off by that ludicrous stunt with the guy flyng off the horse.

Hollywood had a great number of great character actors, but Brennan was one of the very best.
