Mona One of the Most Blatant Bitches Ever in Films

Jacqueline De Witt is excellent as the shrewish society woman Mona with her endless barbed double-meaning comments but really it's almost too much. I can't believe friends of this woman wouldn't cut her to the quick and at the very least avoid her at all costs.

I think her "friends" were afraid they'd be her target so appeased her, instead.

Maybe Mona's husband was very influential? Even in today's times many women have to put up with their bosses' wives no matter how nice or not so nice they are...just think of the army.
