In many of the episodes in '57,'58,and '59
the credit list Barbara Barrie (Barney Miller, Etc.) as
"Cpl. Edna". I am watching a marathon right now
and I am 99 percent positive that the lady playing
Cpl. Edna is NOT Barbara Barrie! It looks absolutely nothing like her.
Can anyone tell whether that is really her or is there another Barbara Barry? Thanks

shareThe woman who plays "Edna" in The Phil Silvers Show looks completely different than the woman pictured on Barbara Barrie's page. Before you say "It is" actually LOOK and compare the woman in those shows with the woman who plays in "Naked City" and the woman in "One Potato Two Potato". They have to be two different women! The eyes of the woman who plays "Edna" are much farther apart, and her nose is turned up and she has a much wider mouth. At the very LEAST, you have to admit (If they are one and the same person)she looks completely different!

YESSS! Thank you so much for confirming my suspicions Chad! It is very nice to know that I was not going bonkers. I am amazed that anyone could think that they are the same woman. They resemble each other not in the least. Again, thank you Chad!
shareI've realized this for some time. Edna on Bilko has totally different features from Barbara Barrie. And, to put it honestly, Edna is prettier than Barbara Barrie, who, great actress as she is, has always been plain-looking. (Like Julie Harris, Barrie's plain appearance probably enables people to appreciate her acting more).
But, does someone know how to change the entry on IMDb so that all appearances of Edna are credited to Barbara Barry, not Barbara Barrie? Without having to change them one by one?
