This is more than 3 years hence, but if you're still interested, go to: http://www.tv.com/the-millionaire/show/1037/episode_guide.html

I found something at TV.com. I found each episode, it's cast, and a plot synopsis. By the way, does anyone know of a "Millionaire" episode that involves a broken cross (on a chain)?

reply

The episode about the broken cross is The Peter Barkley Story, originally brodcast 15 Jan 1958. Episode descriptions include: A young Marine receives a check for a million and sets out to find his two younger brothers. He returns to the orphanage where they were raised and tries to learn who has adopted them. Also, another summary from Complete Encyclopedia – Separated from his two brothers many years ago after his parents were killed in an automobile accident, Peter Bartley, the recipient of the check, returns to the orphanage and begins a search to find them. Cast: John Ericson (Peter Barkley); Johnny Washbrook (Peter, as a boy); Jeanette Nolan (Sister Mary Robert); Mickey Maga (John, as a boy); Rene Korper (James, as a boy); Ronand Green (James Bartley/Father Eagan); Kay Elhardt (Dora McKenna); Uncredited – Tito Fedderson (Sister Helen). Discrepency - Complete Encyclopedia lists Rene Karper as John as boy and John Washbrook as Peter as boy.

Thank you so much for that description. I just know as a youth, watching that episode just blew me away. Don't get me wrong at 55 I am far from a crusader or some censor, but shows such as that when compared to shows today with themes centered around sex as an end in itself are simply fantastic. I was the youngest of three kids and remember watching The Millionnaire with my mom, just the two of us. If ever I could get that on DVD, what a great gift it would be for me and her- she is now 85. Thanks again.

Yes, that's one of the episodes that I remember. Three boys are orphaned in a car accident and adopted by different families. I remember that one of the brothers ended up as a priest.
