Talk about 'turnover' ...

I was checking into why Doc Holliday was looking "different" in some episodes ... and I saw that there was quite a bit of "replacing" people on this show. Heck, there must've been 5 or 6 Ringo's over the course of the series! I wonder why so much turnover? Anyone ?????

It was matter of availability. The supporting actors were probably hired on an episode to episode basis. When Douglas Fowley left the show to direct MACUMBA LOVE (1960), Myron Healy filled in as Doc Holiday. That might have been a mistake of Fowley's part, for Myron Healy was much, much better as Holiday.
