Humming background is annoying!

Those guys humming the background music is annoying. I really like the show, but that is creepy. I think MeTv is really shaving off the end, the stories seem to end abruptly, then go either to commercial or ending credits.

I agree about the humming. But in an amusing way it reminds me of the Eric Rohmer movie, PERCEVAL LE GALLOIS.

Earp doesn't air on MeTV. It's on COZI.

reply

Yeah, in 2016 it is very dated, but that was 1958 & THE KEN DARBY SINGERS...

Now I miss them as COZI-TV has replaced Wyatt Earp with Dick Van Dyke...

The humming was even more distracting (if that's possible) on the Jim Bowie show.

reply

The entire Jim Bowie show was horrible! I don't miss that one at all...

To each his own; but I recently re-discovered the Jim Bowie show on DVD and found it enjoyable. Like the way Bowie seems like an actual Southerner (unlike a lot of the cinematic Bowies) and it tries to be a "Southern" and not a "Western." Even acknowledges the "peculiar institution."

reply

Ironically, Jim Bowie was played by an Englishman. Scott Forbes studied with a beauty queen from Alabama to get the dialect down authentically.

reply

I wonder if he studied more than just her dialect. 

reply

Good question!

He married her
