There were a lot of women criminals

I've only seen a few episodes so far, but in nearly every one of them, there is a woman that is either the main criminal or a conspirator. In one episode, both main criminals were women- disguising themselves as men to commit robberies.

Contrast this with Westerns of that TV era that rarely had women villains.

If you watched every episode you would have to say that the woman villains are much outnumbered by their male counterparts!However,you never see a woman criminal actually being shot although in some episodes they are just as cold-blooded.

It was television after all. So you do need a fair share of eye candy to appease all the viewers.

Hopefully, they get equal sentencing.
