I'm sure gonna miss you folks...

Some'a the best discussion on any TV series have happened right here in the Gunsmoke forums. It's great to have intelligent conversation with learned fans, and the fans here are top'a the line.

Cheers folks, it's been a fun ride.

And to all I say, SAAAAH-LUTE! (somewhat obscure Hee Haw reference)

BTW...I saw Amanda Blake on Hee Haw in the early 70s, and she sang Your Cheatin' Heart.

Yeah, this sucks. It was great to be able to watch old shows and have discussions with fellow fans

It's great to be able to have a question answers, or share something you know.

Perhaps the worst part is that great threads (such as "Dillonism") will be lost.

I've decided to archive all my IMDb reviews. Few are of the best quality, but I spent a lot of time on them.

I'm also going to save the Dillonisms thread. It was great fun, and a worthwhile contribution to the "study" of this series. It should not be lost.

Are you going to delete them after you archive them? Some reviewers are doing that out of spite. Save them for the site that eventually replaces IMDb as top dog.

That would make sense if IMDb were going to continue to use them for profit. I "assumed" the reviews would disappear with the groups. Does anyone know for sure?

Speculation that I've read is that they might be the next to go, but I don't think so because the Trivia, Goofs, Quotes etc. are staying. Anything that another user has a hard time disputing will likely remain. One reason IMDb doesn't like the boards is because it can't control dissenting opinions that might adversely affect their sponsors.
