"Fury" w/Peter Graves and Bobby Diamond

What happened to re-runs of "Fury"? Everything else is on TV but this! Who has bought up the rights to this series and why can't the networks or digital satellite TV get this on one of their family channels?

This is equal to "Lassie" aka Jeff's Collie, which is on all the time. Baby boomers from all over would love to see this again. I know I would. If anyone has any information on this please respond. WS

The same problem we have in Germany...nobody wants to re-run "Fury". The last time was over 7 years ago...very sad...

I agree with you. I have one Fury video (the first episode) but can't find any others. I don't know whom to contact, either, but sure wish they would put those episodes on DVD like they have with so many other early shows.

I think one reason they are not shown any more is that they are now in the public domain and no one makes any money off them.

If anyone is interested, I have several of these episodes...some on VHS and some on 16mm film. They are NOT good quality. I have thought of converting them to DVD and may do so if anyone else wants them. [email protected]

Four episodes of this show (including the pilot) are available on DVD at amazon.com

I watched it all the time when I was a kid.

I just came across a picture of an actor and I immediately recognized him as "Pete" on Fury. I looked up the name and yep, I was right. William Fawcett indeed had played Pete. Pretty good since I hadn't seen the show for so many decades!

Its amazing that "Pete" (William Fawcett) was one of few actors to ever hold a Ph.D and was a professor at Michigan State University. Who'd a thunk it!

I just read his bio. Very interesting! Thank you very much for telling me.

Did you know that William Fawcett was one of only two Americans that was decorated by the French Government with the French Medaille d'Honneur for his care of the wounded during WWI?
You can read more about him by going to http://brokenwheelranch.com/pete.htm

And you can find fury dvd's by going to http://brokenwheelranch.com/brokenwheelvideo.htm

I heard part of the soundtrack for The Music Man the other day. I recognized "Pete's" voice in a song even though it's been years since I heard it.

I checked out the site you listed. Wow! What an interesting person he was! I put a link to the site in my favorites. I'm going to check it all out.

Thanks again!
