For anyone who thinks the beautiful Carol Lynley was just the hot blonde from "The
Poseidon Adventure", check out a very young, teenage Lynley in AHP's "The Young One."
She plays a very disturbed young girl, and gives a thoughtful, chilling performance.
She's also compelling as a nun in an episode of "The Alfred Hitchcock Hour" from 1962.
She was definitely more than just another pretty face! I enjoyed her role (as limited as it was) as Carl Kolchak's girlfriend in the original Night Stalker movie.
She's in an episode of The Big Valley. i just discovered it recently, Hell Hath No Fury. She does a hokey southern accent, but gives a fine performance.
I'm sure I've seen that one, but I can't recall it offhand.
I had the pleasure of meeting Lynley about 12 years ago. She hadn't aged well, but she was so friendly and
talkative.
She should've went a lot further.
Thanks for pointing out 'The Young One' episode. I've just watched it after I found it among my DVDs. I'd forgotten about it. Not one of the better stories of the series. But Carol Lynley gives a good performance.
