First time watching

I wasn’t born till the mid 70s and never had any interest in this show as I got older till now. I recently watched Psycho and then a documentary about the making of it. I was very impressed. I found this series on Hulu so figured I’d check it out. I Googled best episodes so I’m starting out with The Dusty Drawer featuring Dick York in season 4. I’m enjoying it so far. I’m eager to see more episodes.

Well, you're in luck because (in my opinion) it has the highest ratio of excellent offerings than any other
anthology series of its kind (The Twilight Zone, while wonderful, has many duds. Same with One Step Beyond).

The show ran seven years in half-hour format, then three years as a one-hour show (these are not quite as crisp,
as the pacing can be a bit flabby at an hour). Sure, there are some I don't care for, but there are many that
are great fun. Even if an episode strikes you as one you'd never sit through again, it can still be a fun "one watch."

I have been a fan of it for decades, and would like to suggest at least three from season four:

The Last Dark Step

A terrific, very modern-feeling like episode about a lady scriptwriter and the young man she supports. You WON'T
guess the twist ending. It's a shocker.

Banquo's Chair

This is one Hitch himself directed, and you can feel his touch throughout. It's moody, creepy, and also has an
unexpected ending.

The Kind Waitress

A nasty little gem about a white trash waitress, her young jerk boyfriend, and the wealthy old lady who (foolishly)
leaves them everything in her will.

So many, many others. Enjoy!!

Thanks. I watched about four episodes and enjoyed them. Hulu only has I think 5 seasons but I see more is on YouTube. I do plan to check out Twilight Zone too. I think I saw a few episodes with my grandma when I was a kid.

Great. If you DO watch "The Last Dark Step" (season four), please post what you thought of it. I'd be very
curious. It's personally my very favorite non-Hitchcock directed episode. Actress Fay Spain will blow you
away in it.
