The Kind Waitress

Love this episode from season four, with the great Olive Deering as the
hash waitress, sucking up to both her user/loser musician boyfriend and
the rich old lady.

My question: They decide to slowly kill the old lady with a poison
called "anatine" (or is it "anatime"?). Is this a real poison, or did
the writers make it up for the show? I tried looking it up online and
have found nothing. I won't give away the twist, but of course, this
only makes me more curious to know if this is a real substance.

I thought they were saying anodyne. Brilliant twist, though.

"Worthington, we're being attacked by giant bats!"

I came across a blog article and remembered this inquiry:

The author says it was a fictional poison named "Anotyne".
