OK kids............Crazy Ape has all four seasons, 143 episodes, on DVD for the sale price of $9.99! That's less that $0.07 per episode. Go to crazyape.com. I loved this series as a kid and it's a kick to watch it again.

I'm thrilled - DH bought me the complete set for Christmas! We already owned the first season, but this collection seems to be in better condition than that one (same company - Mill Creek). Watched two episodes from the second season last night. Richard Greene - whatta hunk.

One of my childhood favorites, but I have not seen anyone putting this on DVD with even reasonably good quality. The ones I bought (I think by Mill-creek)are hard to watch.

I sincerely hope some legit company puts it out with proper cleaning and digital enhancing.

I just got all 4 seasons on the Mill Creek DVDs. I'm watching on a 34" LCD and they look just fine to me. Oh, they sometimes lose a little definition, but I would expect that from a series this old. I'm frankly amazed they were able to collect all the shows.

I picked up a complete set from http://www.thevintagetheatre.com/robinhood.html a few years ago. It's region-neutral, in original broadcast order, and comes packaged very neatly in two compact cases. I paid US $69.95; it's now $79.95, but it's worth every penny. I've been very happy with this set.

What upsets me most is that the end credits are shorn on all but the last episode on each disk. Plus, there are no subtitles or extras. I can live without those but not without complete credits. Thank heavens for imdb.

I have the Mill Creek complete collection and so far I've only noticed a few episodes in the Season 3 discs with time-worn glitches such as dropped audio, lost frames or dim image quality. I can't remember what I paid but I do remember it being amazingly cheap for 11 discs of quality programming.

I've never seen this 1955 TV version before and love the chance of owning such a classic series.

So when does Paul Eddington actually get cast as Will Scarlett? I've already gone through Seasons 1, 2, & part of 3 and he still hasn't been given a regular role yet. Do I have to wait until Season 4?

It's a kick to see now established/veteran actors get their start in small cameos in this show. Already I've seen a young Leo McKern (Rumpole) & Donald Pleasance make their appearance.

I just picked it up for free from the library, though I'll probably be paying late fees if I can't finish all 143 episodes in time.
