The beginning where the father-in-law says he wishes he could take his brain to the launders to get it washed was one of the most surreal moments in cinema.

A very interesting thought that which certainly made me smile

And a touching way by the director to show that wife and father-in-law have something in common, by way of the daughter's reaction of genuine laughs.

I thought that Sô Yamamura was very good casting and also that his performance was a fine one.

The transfer isn't very good. It could do with remastering and Blu-ray release.
