Steinway would have loved to have gotten that ivory.

What I had in mind was boxing the compass.

Yeah. Kinda annoying. Especially as it pretty much made up all the acting Lancaster did here. He could be a good performer, but it´s all rather wooden macho posturing in Vera Cruz.

It was a great addition to Lancaster's apporach to his character, always came across as sadistic and arrogent whenever he smiled.

"I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not".
