Not actually a goof

Whoever wrote about the "propane" lantern use in the final tomb scene as being innapropriate for the time is all wet. W.C. Coleman produced a pressurized white fuel lantern ( THAT'S the hissing you hear) in 1905. There were previous versions that burned gasoline also.
