What happened to the husband? (spoiler)
I missed something, last I saw he abandoned his wife in the sandstorm....

Robert Taylor puts the plank back up not realising he is there, he has a gun and gets out meaning to leave Robert Taylor there but he gets distracted. Robert Taylor and he fight on the head of an Egyptian statue (sorry I can't remember it's proper name)and he charges at Robert Taylor and runs right off the top of the statue to his death.
Eleanor Parker is observing all this from the top tomb.

Not quite. It was, as Philip explains, his partner-in-crime who removed the plank and pulled up the rope, before Philip 'wasted a bullet on him'. But then how did Philip shoot him if he was still trapped in the hideaway down below? share
